The eternal eye rests in the heavens. It's presence can be felt from the towering human cities of the ruined continent to the deserts of Arlesis to the sea of black. To the deziens of Azura, this eye is their lifeblood. Their entire life expectancy, in one way or another, relies on the eternal eye. The eye brings warmth to the masses. Without it, there would be no natural plants. There would be no food for the cattle. There would be no food for the people. Anything carnivorous is going to die a slow and agonizing death.

This is, at least, how Arubek sees it. In the deserts of Arlesis, he lays naked on a building whose inside was burned many centuries ago. His white and cream scales bake under the sun. He is relaxed, a rare moment yet daily practice in his life. With his very large tail wagging gently in the wind, his over caution is over. It is just him and the sun.

The sound of a almost silent shaft grazing string and the sound of a bow being pulled back wakes up Arubek. The first arrow is shot next the the rock, a clear warning shot. Before the arrow was released, however, the cream scale Arubek was already ducked behind the boulder and camouflaged himself in the sands. An orc, with a loud and booming voice screamed, "Lizard! What are you doing in our territory?"

Arubek looks up to see a female orc in desert attire, with thin white clothes that cover her entire body. A camel with a cart attached and a native hawk ride atop her shoulder.

In draconic at first, Arubek says, "The folly of man is not the total of his enemies; nay, the folly of man is lack of allies."

At first she is confused and yells again, with more fury, "What. Are. You. Doing. Here?"

"Resting", Arubek replied. "I have had a long journy and the desert is my home, though not this desert."

"Why do you rest in Sandstorm territory?

"I did not know this land is taken. For miles around, it is just sand. I had decided to rest my body on thisss rock."

"Why are you so formal, Lizard? Nervous for your life?"

"No. That would imply you could take it."

At that comment, the orc women, red with anger, pulls back her bow again with two different arrows on it and fire at the lizardman. The first shot misses completely, several yards away from Arubek. The second arrow, on the other hand, pierces his scales of his torso. After several seconds of nothing happening, Arubek plucks out the arrow and uses it to scratch part of his back without result.

"You would not be able to hurt me with these dull rocks. Retreat now.", he says. The orc did not listen and readied another shot. Her hawk, however, took to the skies to the part where the sun blinded those who looked at it. The third shot let loose, only to deflect off Arubek's shoulder as he approached. The fourth shot, Arubek smashed the arrow sideways, as it soared through the air. The orc's hawk, then, descended talons ready. Arubek, did a small low spin as the bird descended, and smacked it away with his tail, with a quick flick.

"That's my bird!",the orc screamed.

"Take more care of it", Arubek replied. He picked up the bird, still fighting, and calmly walked to the orc and placed it in her hands. The orc was truly dumbfounded. A humanoid lizard just smacked her bird, gave it to her and told her to take better care of it.

"The bird of prey.", Arubek says in his soft slightly-raspy voice.

"What?"

"It speaks of a great hunting. What are you hunting? Animals? Not in a desert. Humans? Who would come to these parts. Orcs? Hmm..."

"Ho- what do you know?"

"I know that I'm not welcome here and we should both leave this area. A true desert storm approaches."

And with that, the beginning of a sandstorm arises. Wind is flicked into different directions, the wind becomes powerful and, like the wind itself, the orc disappears. The lizardman, now with an active body, continues his journey in the desert. There was one more thing he had to do.
